Army Staff Identification Badge:
The badge was initially proposed in the year 1931 by General Douglas MacArthur and was formally authorized in 1933 by the United States War Department. The eligibility criteria for this
badge have seen various amendments over the years. The most notable were made in the year 2004 when the grade requirements were abolished and the personnel serving at the Office of the Secretary of the Army & Headquarters Department of the Army and its agencies were entitled to be eligible for this badge.
Aviation Badges:
United States Aviator badge is a general term used to characterize the three types of aviation badges being awarded to military personnel upon meeting the designated requirements. Aviator badges were first established and awarded during the second world war. These badges are characterized into three degrees Basic, Senior & Command/Master/Chief. Certain qualifications such as 1500 flying hours in aircraft or seven years from basic rating date for Senior badge & 3,000 hours in aircraft or 15 years from basic rating date for Master badge are needed to be met.
Aviation badges are a source of specialized recognition for military aviators and marks the inherent difference between the military pilots and other ground forces.
Career Counselor Badge:
A United States military badge that is generally awarded to individuals serving within the US Army and Navy. The badge was originated in the early 1970s.
In Army, the career counselor badge is designated for personnel having Military Occupational Specialty (79S, 79T or 79V) of career counselor. Twelve months following the allotment of the badge are marked as a probationary period, after that the badge is permanently allocated unless any disciplinary breach was observed within the probation period.
Whereas the Navy career counselor badge is awarded to all NC Sailors who are assigned to be Command Career Counselors, all Sailors who have obtained NEC 9588 and other naval employees of various grades and ranks upon meeting the specified requirements.
Combat Infantryman Badges:
A prestigious badge that is bestowed to infantrymen & special forces soldiers up to the rank of colonel. The Combat Infantryman badge was established during the World War II to boost the morale and zeal of the fighting soldiers. A separate CIB award has been allocated to soldiers involved in active combats such as World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War, and the likes.
