Archery targets, for those of you who are new to the sport, are basically the only stationary object in an archery range that will actually move with you as you shoot. There are basically three different types of targets, and each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages.
One of the most popular types of archery targets is the on target archery steger. It is a stand that is placed at a distance away from your target and will move with you, causing your arrow to hit it. Since the on target archery stage is stationary, it also means that you can fire at the steger at any point, allowing you to gain accuracy and have the movement exactly where you want it.
This type of target archery steger allows you to shoot at targets that are right in front of you. In contrast, stationary targets tend to be several yards from the bow and allow you to hit the target a few inches to the left or right of where you intended. Since they are stationary, they can easily become hit and miss with certain bows.
The best advantage of the on target archery steger is that you can adjust it to the distance that you want your shot to travel. This is especially good for many beginners, since they may have a natural tendency to aim for a target that is farther away than their target. By allowing you to adjust the distance between your target and the steger, you will be able to achieve more accuracy on your shot.
Another advantage of the on target archery steger is that it does not disturb the entire area around it. While this may not seem like a big deal, it is possible for you to completely miss your target if you are in a quiet spot and not in constant contact with your target. You will not be disturbed by the movement of the stage, so this will mean you are more likely to hit your target.
If you shoot a target archery steger, the biggest advantage is that it is portable. You can bring it with you when you are out shooting and do not have to keep it stationary with you. This allows you to easily place the steger at your target, ensuring you get the shot you want.
But while stationary targets can be nice, there are other considerations when choosing a target. For example, if you want a shot at the same distance and elevation as your target, you should be aiming for your target. Some archers prefer using an adjustable target so that they can adjust the shot to be aimed where they want it to go. The on target archery steger works best if you are shooting at a stationary target that has been adjusted to your own target.
A stationary target archery steger is nice for people who are new to the sport. But for those of you who already have a few arrows in your quiver, a stationary target can also be nice. Just make sure that you have a target that is good enough for your skill level.
